This September, the Vergenoegd Löw Farm Tea Experience comes to Clara’s Barn for a limited series of Saturday and Sunday gatherings. Set within one of the Cape’s oldest farm buildings, the experience invites guests to slow down over a generous, multi-course celebration of Cape flavour, heritage and hospitality.

The Experience

The Vergenoegd Löw Farm Tea Experience draws inspiration from indigenous ingredients, traditional Cape hospitality and the many cultures that have shaped the region’s culinary identity.

Fynbos herbal teas such as rooibos, honeybush and buchu meet beautifully composed savoury and sweet dishes inspired by Khoisan and Cape Malay heritage, European influences and the historic trade routes that connected the Cape with Batavia, Ceylon and India.

Presented with Vergenoegd Löw Cap Classique and a curated tea service, this is more than an afternoon tea. It is a contemporary expression of the warmth, generosity and refinement of the Cape farm table.

For this limited September series, the experience will be served within the historic surrounds of Clara’s Barn.

Clara's Barn

Clara’s Barn is the oldest building on the estate. Rather than trading as a permanent restaurant, it opens on selected dates for a developing series of limited culinary events. The Spring Farm Tea is the first of these.
