Set apart from the main werf, the villa is designed for families, private groups, retreats and guests who want a fully residential experience within the estate. It combines generous space, privacy and quiet luxury with access to the farm, food, wine, spa and estate experiences.

This is a stay for guests who want the estate available to them, while enjoying the freedom, privacy and comfort of their own villa.

The Space

The Owner’s Villa accommodates 12 adults.

It is the estate’s most expansive accommodation option, suited to private groups and longer, more exclusive stays. The villa offers a residential way to experience Vergenoegd Löw, with the ability to move through the day on your own terms.

It is ideal for family gatherings, multi-generational travel, private retreats, exclusive-use stays and guests who want a greater level of privacy.

Master Suite and Guest Wings

The villa features six meticulously designed bedrooms, providing ample space for families and groups. While the guest rooms are appointed with premium bedding in king size and twin configurations.

Refined Marble Bathrooms

The en-suite bathrooms are finished in elegant marble, with the 18 sqm master bathroom offering a free-standing bathtub and double basin. Each guest bathroom features high-quality finishes, with heated towel rails, 710 gsm towels, and fine cotton velour bathrobes provided for your comfort.

Living Outdoors

The Owner’s Villa is designed for privacy, space and an easy connection between indoors and outdoors.

Guests can enjoy private outdoor living, time in the surrounding gardens and views across the estate. The setting allows for long, quiet days on the property, with the wider estate available when guests choose to engage with it.

Homestead - Breakfast

The Homestead, a meticulously restored national monument dating back to 1773, offers an intimate setting where our estate’s history is tangible. Whether joining us for an elegant farmhouse breakfast or a dinner of refined simplicity, you are dining within the original walls that have hosted guests for over two centuries.

It is a living tribute to Cape Dutch heritage and honest luxury, where seasonal flavours and our farm-to-table philosophy come together.

Additional Owner's Villa Services

Breakfast can be prepared by a private chef at the villa on request.

A grocery provisioning service is available for self-catering guests. The service can be arranged, while the cost of groceries is excluded.

Private chef services for lunch and dinner can be arranged on request and are charged separately.

Return transfers for the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden excursion are excluded.

Terms and Policies

Pet Policy: Due to our sensitive ecosystem and the protection of our runner ducks, the entire estate has a strict no pet policy.

Deposits: A 50 per cent deposit must be received within 48 hours of booking.

Breakfast: Homestead Breakfast is served daily from 08:00 to 11:00 only.

Privacy: Your data is protected in accordance with international GDPR standards and the South African POPIA Act.
