Daily ecology tour
Daily at 09:30 and 12:30
One hour, starting at the Slave Bell.
Throughout November 2026: complimentary
Includes Mountain Falls water on arrival. Wine tasting is not included in the November offer.
From 1 December 2026: R250 per person
Includes water on arrival and a wine tasting afterwards.
The daily walk remains complimentary for hotel guests, who can redeem their included wine tasting after the tour.
Private ecology tour
R500 per person
A one-hour private walk, with water on arrival and an Indigenous Tasting afterwards.
Meet at the Slave Bell at 09:00 or 12:00, subject to availability. One private group per day, hosted by Anda, Tiaan, Suzanne or Christiaan.
Book at least 48 hours in advance. A 50% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is payable on the day. Private tour deposits are non-refundable, except when we cancel due to weather.

Book either option with reservations@vergenoegd.co.za. Private walks must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. A 50% deposit confirms the private booking, with the balance payable on the day.

Both walks start at the Slave Bell. Daily tours depart at 09:30 and 12:30. Private tours meet at 09:00 or 12:00, subject to availability, with one private group per day.

The daily walk remains complimentary for hotel guests, who can redeem their included wine tasting after the tour. The private ecology tour is R500 per person.

Tours are weather dependent. If we cancel due to weather, you can reschedule or receive a refund. Private tour deposits are otherwise non-refundable.

What do children pay?
Children under 12 pay half price on paid tours: R125 for the daily tour from 1 December 2026 and R250 for the private tour. They receive water and a soft drink after the walk. All prices include VAT.
