Onze wijnen worden gekenmerkt door een uniek geologisch erfgoed. Gelegen op een oude zeebodem op minder dan 5 km van de Atlantische Oceaan, gedijen onze wijnstokken in zeldzame, kalkrijke bodems vol mariene fossielen. Dit unieke maritieme terroir, gekoeld door de constante zeewind, zorgt voor een langzaam rijpingsproces. Het resultaat is een collectie wijnen die zich onderscheiden door uitzonderlijke diepte, kenmerkende zilte tonen en een verfijnde precisie die eeuwenoude tradities eert.
Regeneratieve Harmonie
We believe that great wine begins with the health of the soil. By farming regeneratively with multi-crops and animals, we actively nurture our natural assets. Our famous Indian Runner ducks act as natural pest controllers, while Dexter cattle manage weeds. Together, they naturally fertilise the land, enriching the life and biodiversity of the soil.
This creates strong, resilient vines and healthy, perfectly ripened grapes, allowing for a true low-intervention approach in the cellar. We simply “follow the grapes”, letting the fruit take centre stage to tell the story of the land.

Geography is our greatest advantage. Being located less than 5km from the sea, Vergenoegd Löw remains approximately 3°C cooler than the Stellenbosch average. These maritime conditions, combined with granitic and sandstone soils, result in wines that are elegant, restrained, and beautifully balanced.
With over 50 hectares under vine – masterfully planted to a mix of reds (75%) and whites (25%) – our portfolio expresses a sophisticated cool-climate character within the heart of the Cape Winelands.
The Craftsmen Behind the Bottle
This progressive harmony between nature and tradition is guided by a dedicated team. Managing Director and seasoned viticulturist Corius Visser, who knows Stellenbosch like the back of his hand, leads our agricultural vision.
Working closely under him is our Elsenberg-trained Winemaker, Vusi (Mvuselo) Dalicuba, assisted by Tamsin Valentine. Together, they infuse historic ways of farming with fresh, dynamic thinking.
