An elegant, immersive dining experience in South Africa’s oldest barn, where history and contemporary cuisine meet.

Multi-course, wine-led menus will be presented with precision and quiet confidence, creating a stage for seasonal produce to shine.

Clara's Barn - Bistro

A more relaxed counterpart within the barn, the Bistro will offer approachable, estate-rooted dishes in a refined yet welcoming setting.

Service will be warm and attentive, designed for unhurried enjoyment.

The oldest building

يخضع حظيرة كلارا، أقدم مبنى في ممتلكاتنا، حالياً لعملية ترميم طموحة. وكجزء من مشروع التراث الأوروبي، يجري ترميم هذا الصرح التاريخي بدقة متناهية ليعود إلى رونقه السابق، وليكون مسرحاً لعصر جديد من تجارب الطعام الراقية.

بمجرد إعادة افتتاحه، سيمزج بين سحر العمارة الريفية للقرن السابع عشر وفنون الطهي الحديثة. نحافظ على كل حجر وقصة لنخلق مكاناً يلتقي فيه التراث بأرقى فنون الطهي المعاصرة.

Michelle Theron

Cape Town–born and –bred, Michelle refined her craft in leading Winelands kitchens, with formative stints in Michelin-starred European restaurants. Widely travelled, she brings an international perspective to Cape cuisine, yet her approach remains rooted in authenticity, heritage-inspired flavours, and a deep sense of place.

Her credentials include being named among South Africa’s Top 10 Women Chefs (2021) and recognition as a regional finalist in the San Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition (Africa & Middle East).
