Things to do at Vergenoegd this summer

We’ve been hard at work out here in Stellenbosch, revamping, renovating and developing some exciting new experiences – and we can’t wait for you to come explore! From the 1st of December 2015, visitors can spend the day blending their own wine, olive oil, tea and coffee, tasting our range of delicious wines, meeting our runner ducks and soaking up the sun while enjoying a delicious artisanal picnic.

And that’s not all! We’ve got lots of exciting plans for the future, which will include exciting new food menus, activities for the whole family and much more. This December, bring the kids to meet the runner ducks and experience life on a safe working farm, while the grown ups blend their own signature red from our delicious wines.

When planning  our renovations, it was vital for us to respect the farm’s architecture, history and unique heritage. As one of the oldest farms in South Africa, Vergenoegd has a rich history which sets it apart and which we really wanted to respect and preserve, while creating a new destination with all the modern facilities and experiences our guests could need.

Our tasting room and blending experiences are hosted inside the farm’s original historic manor house, which we’ve been renovating with as few structural changes as possible.  Rooms are decorated according to the old Cape Dutch style,  with modern touches  and hand-picked tasting  staff who will ensure that every one of our guests get the most out of their visit to the farm.

Come visit us this festive season enjoy one of the following brand new offerings on Vergenoegd:
