Il eut la clairvoyance d&#039;accueillir, pendant pr\u00e8s d&#039;un an (entre 1786 et 1787), un pasteur luth\u00e9rien et artiste n\u00e9erlandais, Jan Brandes. Ce qui rend Brandes si int\u00e9ressant, c&#039;est qu&#039;il peignait et dessinait abondamment, laissant derri\u00e8re lui d&#039;importants t\u00e9moignages visuels. Ces \u0153uvres se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es une source d&#039;information inestimable pour nos \u00e9quipes charg\u00e9es du patrimoine architectural et des jardins. Aujourd&#039;hui, les \u0153uvres qu&#039;il r\u00e9alisa \u00e0 la ferme sont conserv\u00e9es au c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Rijksmuseum d&#039;Amsterdam. Des reproductions de certaines d&#039;entre elles sont expos\u00e9es sur le domaine.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-79aea72 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"79aea72\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNous n&#039;oublierons jamais la famille Faure, qui a cultiv\u00e9 ces terres pendant six g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, soit pr\u00e8s de 200 ans. C&#039;est elle qui a per\u00e7u le potentiel de ce terroir pour le Cabernet Sauvignon, aujourd&#039;hui notre c\u00e9page rouge embl\u00e9matique. John Faure s&#039;est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 un excellent vigneron (\u00e0 l&#039;instar de son p\u00e8re), mais il a \u00e9galement eu l&#039;excellente id\u00e9e de se lancer dans l&#039;\u00e9levage de canards coureurs indiens d\u00e8s 1984. Il avait compris que ces animaux pouvaient lutter contre les ravageurs de la vigne tout en fertilisant le sol. Il g\u00e8re toujours notre programme d&#039;\u00e9levage de canards, produisant de nombreux sp\u00e9cimens prim\u00e9s, et il en a m\u00eame mis \u00e0 disposition des agriculteurs voisins d\u00e9sireux de pratiquer une agriculture r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratrice comme la n\u00f4tre.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7950f83 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7950f83\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEn 2015, John a vendu la ferme \u00e0 l&#039;entrepreneur, philanthrope, historien, d\u00e9fenseur du patrimoine et \u00e9cologiste allemand, le professeur L\u00f6w. Ce dernier, visionnaire lui aussi, a su redonner vie au domaine gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un m\u00e9lange exceptionnel d&#039;optimisme, de sensibilit\u00e9 et de cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83413c7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"83413c7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCe qu&#039;il a imagin\u00e9 et r\u00e9alis\u00e9, c&#039;est une destination \u0153notouristique intimiste, nich\u00e9e au c\u0153ur d&#039;une authentique ferme en activit\u00e9, riche en beaut\u00e9 naturelle et en paysages magnifiques\u00a0: une enclave paisible qui honore le pass\u00e9 tout en exprimant son riche patrimoine de mani\u00e8re contemporaine\u00a0; et qui, \u00e0 travers ses vins, son hospitalit\u00e9 et son mode de vie, exprime le go\u00fbt du lieu avec raffinement et sobri\u00e9t\u00e9.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-49e2ed6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"49e2ed6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPlus important encore, il a form\u00e9 une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de collaborateurs dont il souhaite ardemment voir les comp\u00e9tences et la carri\u00e8re progresser.
